Make A Wish UK
The Make A Wish foundation, UK, are a national charity that raises money to help support children with life threatening illnesses and severe disabilities. They provide something many charities can't provide; happiness and memories that last forever. Make A Wish give special 'wishes'; such as meeting their favourite popstar, footballer or celebrity; once in a lifetime holidays for the child and their families, essential equipment, home makeovers etc.
Make A Wish granted 898 life changing wishes in 2011. They raised over £6m and need to raise more to grant even more wishes to children to whom pleasure and happiness are the least they deserve. The wishes help take away the pain, discomfort, stress and problems they face every day.
Milla's Story
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/6/11269956/6277590.jpg?0)
Milla Frobisher is 6 years old. She and her twin sister, Louisa were born prematurely, 16 weeks early, in 2006 at the Liverpool Women's Hospital. After 6 months in hospital and numerous setbacks and operations, Louisa and Milla came home to Worcester. Milla developed spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy as a result of her early birth. Her CP is severe and means she is unable to walk or talk and needs to fed through a stomach tube. Milla requires care 24 hours a day. Her sister Louisa is blind in one eye, partially sighted in the other, but has done remarkably well since the difficulties she and Milla faced after their birth.
Milla is the inspiration for this cycling challenge. She was granted a wish by Make A Wish UK in May 2012. Milla and her family had a family holiday at a purpose built holiday village called Give Kids The World in Florida. The village caters specifically for children with terminal illnesses and life threatening / life limiting conditions.
The money raised will help Make A Wish continue to give special memories & experiences to other children in the UK.

Stuart Walker, 28, Droitwich, UK
Stuart is the youngest member of the team and an enthusiastic cyclist. He thrives in the challenges of long, steep climbs and has experience climbing in the Alps, including the legendary Alpe d'Huez.
It will be great to have the youthful energy and strong legs of Stuart to help pull us up the hills...that's the theory anyway!
Stuart has always wanted to cycle John O'Groats to Lands End and it is brilliant to have him on the team. He will be a great asset with his experience of the 'steep stuff'.

Kate Adams, Bridgwater, UK
Kate will be the team's back up support driver and is excited at the prospect of following the team in a motorhome as they cycle the length of Britain.
Kate is a keen fundraiser and has raised money on behalf of Scope, on the Cambodia challenge, Kilimanjaro climb and Everest trek, where she and Tony met.
The team has been promised lots of cake and Kate is known to make a decent brew too.
It's great to have Kate on the team.
Hopefully Kate will have a co-driver; as driving the length of Britain twice (we have to get up to John O Groats and back from Lands End) in 2 weeks is a lot of driving!

Sean Veasey, 44, Bicester, UK
Sean joined the team as one of the support crew and will share driving responsibilites with Kate. Sean and Tony have known each other since they were at school in Dover over 30 years ago!
Always smiling, always a happy, encouraging and positive person, it is fantastic to have Sean on the team. A man of many talents, not the least of which is supplying the finest doughnuts known to man; which he did for Tony on a previous cycle challenge when Tony cycle from Worcester to London and back.
If the weather is favourable, the roads pointing downhill and the wind behind his back, Sean may be prized out of the warm cabin of the motorhome to cycle with us.....but then again....warm cabin, radio on, coffee on the go......
